Quote it whole, quote it once
Your quotation names the exact boards, veneers, hinges and runners we'll use, line by line. If we specified it, we supply it — substitutions need your written OK, not the other way around.

Teakline is an independent custom furniture workshop in Kuala Lumpur. This page is the honest version of who we are — no stock phrases, just how we actually work.
Our founder started out restoring shophouse furniture in Pudu before taking on his first full kitchen commission in 2011. Word travelled the way it does in KL — through renovation contractors, interior designers and neighbours who wanted "the same cabinet, but for my place".
Today Teakline employs fourteen people: joiners, sprayers, an in-house designer and two installation crews. We deliberately stay this size. It's large enough to run several projects in parallel, and small enough that the person who quotes your job also walks the workshop floor.
We've completed more than 1,100 projects — condominium kitchens, landed-home wardrobes, hotel reception counters, government office boardrooms and one very memorable spiral bookshelf.

We commit to dates our workshop can actually keep. That sometimes means telling you a start date two weeks out — and it always means your installer arrives when promised.
Solid carcasses, proper edge banding, hardware rated for daily use. We'd rather lose a job on price than build something we'd be embarrassed to see again in a decade.
Plenty of shops sell modular carcasses trimmed to fit. That's not what we do. Each Teakline project is drawn from scratch around your room, your habits and your budget — then cut, edged, assembled and finished in our own workshop.
Six carpenters led by two master joiners with over 20 years each in fine furniture work.
Three sprayers who treat a matte lacquer coat like other people treat wedding photography.
An in-house designer who turns rough sketches and Pinterest boards into buildable drawings.
Two teams who measure twice, drill once, and vacuum before they leave your home.
Workshop and showroom visits are welcome by appointment, Monday to Saturday.
